Select Loan Template

After you start a loan, use the Select Loan Template  window to change individual template components (Template Sets, Loan Programs, Closing Costs, Document Sets, or Forms Lists). On the menu bar of an open loan, click Loan, click one of the template components, and then click a template from the list.

After you start a loan, you can change individual template components (Template Sets, Loan Programs, Closing Costs, Document Sets, or Forms Lists). On the menu bar of an open loan, click Loan, click one of the template components, and then click a template from the list.

To Use the Select Loan Template Window:

Choose from the following options when you start a new loan.

  • Click Default Template to use the template shown in the Current Default Template field at the top of the window.

  • Click Select Template to use the template selected in the template list.

  • Click New Blank Loan to start the loan without using a template.

The Append Template Data checkbox

  • If you are applying a template to a new loan that contains data in more than one template component, data will be applied to the loan file from the Misc. Data template first, then the Loan Program template, and lastly the Closing Costs template. Data from a template, including blank fields, will overwrite the data applied from the previous template.

  • If you select the Append template data... checkbox, data from a template  will overwrite the data applied from the previous template. However, previously applied data will not be overwritten by blank values.

Viewing Loan Templates

  • Click Detail to view the components of the template selected in the template list.

  • Click Up or the dropdown arrow next to the Folder field to select and view the templates in a different folder.

  • Click Go to to open the folder containing the current default template.
