Record Communications

Use the Conversation Log to track interactions with the borrower, service providers, and other contacts related to the loan. You can also send alerts to other loan team members to request follow-up actions.

ClosedBorrower name 

Since the Pipeline can be customized, the Borrower Name column may not be currently displayed. Add the column to your Pipeline if necessary.

  1. On your Pipeline, locate the loan.
  2. Click the Borrower Contact icon to the left of the borrower name.

The Borrower Details pop-up lists the borrower's contact information.

ClosedRecord a phone conversation 

  1. Click a telephone number to open a Conversation Log worksheet.

  2. On the Conversation Log worksheet, add or change the Name and Company with whom the conversation took place, or click the Address Book icon to select a name from the file contacts for the loan.

  3. In the Comments section, type information related to the conversation.

  4. If you do not want the Conversation Log entry to display in the Log, clear the Show entry in the loan Log checkbox.

    • The entry will still be accessible from the Conversation Log list.

  5. To request follow-up by a loan team member, in the Follow Up section, select a role, and then set the due date.

    • A separate follow-up entry (with red text) is created in the Log.

    • The alert displays on the selected loan team member's Pipeline.

Only telephone numbers and email addresses that are entered on the Borrower Summary will be listed on the Borrower Details pop-up.

ClosedRecord an email 

  1. Click an email address to open a Conversation Log worksheet.

    • A new Microsoft Outlook email message window opens with the contact's email address already populated. If you want the content of the email message to become part of the loan file, simply copy and paste the message from Outlook to the Conversation Log worksheet.

  2. On the Conversation Log worksheet, add or change the Name and Company for the email recipient, or click the Address Book icon to select a name from the file contacts for the loan.

  3. In the Comments section, type information related to the email.

  4. If you do not want the Conversation Log entry to display in the Log, clear the Show entry in the loan Log checkbox.

  5. To request follow-up by a loan team member, in the Follow Up section, select a role, and then set the due date.

    • A separate follow-up entry (with red text) is created in the Log.

    • The alert displays on the selected loan team member's Pipeline.
