Submit a Loan File to Fannie Mae DO
The Fannie Mae DO for ePASS service seamlessly integrates with Fannie
Mae's Desktop Originator for Mortgage Brokers. You can also request preliminary
findings before submitting the loan to determine the borrower's ability
to qualify for up to five different products.
For a DO submission,
Fannie Mae requires a credit report with a Fannie Mae reference number.
You can order credit from the submission window or provide information
from a previously received credit report.
Request Preliminary Findings and Import Conditions
Request Preliminary Findings

On the Services tab, click the Request Underwriting.

On the Underwriting window, click Fannie
Mae DO for ePASS and then click Submit.

On the Fannie Mae DO for ePASS page, click Submit to DO for ePASS link on the upper-left
of the page.
If your company has configured the user credentials, you will be asked to provide an account number and password and to choose a Product Description option. Select the Standard LCOR option to opt out of using DU Refi Plus and instruct DU to underwrite the case file as a limited cash-out refinance transaction.

On the Submit Loan: Select Submission Options
page, click Preliminary Findings
for the submission option.
Multiple Products

On Submit Loan: Select Submission Options page,
click the Multiple Products option
and then click Next.

On the Submit Loan: Select Products for Submission
page, select from 2 to 5 products, type a potential interest rate and
points for each, and then click Submit.

On the Recommendations Summary page, click the
link in the Recommendation column to view the findings for each product.

Click to select the desired product and click
Select Product.
The findings for the selected product are
displayed and added to the loan file.
Single Product
-
On Submit Loan: Select Submission Options page,
click the Single Product option,
and then click Submit.
The findings are displayed and added to the
loan file.
Import Conditions

To import the conditions to the loan file, click
Import Conditions.

On the Import Conditions window, select
the conditions you want to import, and then click Import.
The conditions are imported to the Preliminary Conditions tab on the eFolder.
Make an Interim or Final Submission

On the Services tab, click the Request
Underwriting button.

On the Underwriting window, click the link to
Fannie Mae DO for ePASS and then click Submit.

On the Fannie Mae DO for ePASS page, click Submit to DO for ePASS link on the upper-left
of the page.
Multiple Products
If you select the Multiple Products option,
the submission is Interim by default.

On the Submit Loan: Select Submission Options
page, select the name of a lender marked by an asterisk.

Click the Multiple
Products option and then click Next.

On the Submit Loan: Select Products for Submission
page, select from 2 to 5 products, type a potential interest rate for
each, and then click Submit.

On the Recommendations Summary page, click the
link in the Recommendation column to view the findings for each product.

Click to select the desired product and click
Select Product.
The findings for the selected product
are displayed and are added to the loan file.
Single Product
-
On the Submit Loan:
Select Submission Options page, select the name of a lender not marked
by an asterisk (*).

Select a product, select Interim
or Final,
and then click Submit.
The findings for the selected product
are displayed and are added to the loan file.
To View the Returned Findings:
From the eFolder
-
On the eFolder, click the Preliminary
Conditions tab, and then click the New icon.

Select the Add Conditions from AUS findings option, and then click OK.
From the Loan Tab
-
On the Services tab, click the Document
icon to the right of the Request Underwriting button.

On the View Document window, click the View
button.
To Review the Imported Conditions:

On the eFolder, click the Preliminary
Conditions tab, select the condition, and click the Edit icon.
