Verification of Employment (VOE)

More Resources on the URLA Support Page

Use the Verification of Employment (VOE) to record current and previous employers. When working with the URLA 2009 forms, when you add employment information on the VOE, the first record for the borrower and the first record for the co-borrower displays on the 1003 Page 1 input and output forms. If you add employment information on the 1003 Page 1, the information is added to the VOE. When working with the URLA 2020 forms, when you add employment information on the VOE, the employment records display on the 1003 URLA Part 2 input form according to the following logic:

  • Section 1b (Current/Self Employment and Income) displays the first VOE entry marked as Current for the borrower or co-borrower. If there is no Current VOE entry for the borrower or co-borrower, section 1b is blank.
  • Section 1c (Additional/Self Employment and Income) displays the second VOE entry that is marked as Current for the borrower or co-borrower. When there is no second current VOE for the borrower or co-borrower, this section is blank.
  • Section 1d (Previous Employment and Income) displays the first VOE entry that is marked as Prior for the borrower or co-borrower. If there is no Prior VOE for the borrower or co-borrower, this section is blank.

If you add employment information 1003 URLA Part 2, the information is added to the VOE. All VOE records display on the URLA 2020 output form, provided the Does Not Apply checkbox is not selected for sections 1b, 1c or 1d on the 1003 URLA Part 2.

To shortcut the entry of address information, type the zip code first. The City and State fields will automatically be filled.
