Import Loan Files

You can import one or more Calyx Point and Fannie Mae 3.x loan files. After you import a loan file, only the system administrator can delete it.

Before importing loan files, make sure you have completed the system setup tasks. These setup tasks include configuring the settings for folders, organizations and users, milestones, log setup, custom fields, loan templates, tables and fees, and contacts.

To Import Loan Files:

  1. From your Pipeline, click Pipeline on the menu bar, and then click Import to open the Import wizard.

  2. On the Import window, select the type of files to import.

    • If your administrator has enabled the Auto Assignment of Loan Officer setting in the Server Settings Manager, you also have the option of selecting and automatically assigning a user as the new loan officer whenever an imported file's loan officer does not exactly match an existing user's name.

  3. Click Continue.

  4. Click one or more files to import and select a destination as follows:

    • Click Browse to locate the folder containing the files to import.

    • Select a Client Type (if applicable).

    • Click the files to import (or click Select All).

    • From the Loan Folder list, select a folder to import the files into.

    • For a Fannie Mae 3.0/3.2 or ULAD / iLAD (MISMO 3.4) file import, click Browse to select a loan template to apply to the imported file. Note that data from the Fannie Mae file you are importing will be overwritten by the existing data in the loan template.

For a Fannie Mae 3.0/3.2 or ULAD / iLAD (MISMO 3.4) file import, your ability to apply a loan template to the imported file may vary based on your administrator's settings. Using the Loan Template Sets setting, the administrator may require that a loan template be applied to the imported Fannie Mae 3.0/3.2 or ULAD / iLAD (MISMO 3.4) file. The Import button will be disabled until you click Browse and select a template to apply. They may also require that a specific template be applied to the imported file. In this case, the name of the template is automatically populated to the Loan Template field and the Browse button is disabled.

  5. Click Import.

When the import is complete, a message indicates the number of files successfully imported.
